Mark R. Saunders President mark.saunders@achelous.com
As President of Achelous Partners, Mark is a leading investment banker to international public and private life science companies. He has a successful history of cross border mergers and acquisitions and cross border joint ventures.
Mark has significant expertise in the US listing process and in all forms of financing available to domestic and international companies. He leverages his extensive contacts both on Wall Street and in the international financial markets to maximize financial opportunities for our clients with market makers, international traders, institutional public and private funds and high net worth investors.
Mark was general outside legal counsel to Citibank's ADR Division, undertaking over 300 transactions involving non-US companies listing on NASDAQ and the New York Stock Exchange. He was head of Greenberg Traurig's International Corporate Finance Group, where he advised and assisted non-US companies to issue securities in the US capital markets, representing companies from Australia, the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Mark was also a Partner with the US law firms of Brown & Wood and Parker Chapin, specializing in securities and corporate finance. Mark holds a Juris Doctor from New York Law School and is a member of the New York Bar Association.

Eric Zitter focuses on deal origination and developing various corporate strategies for US market penetration, including international mergers and acquisitions, advising on the ADR process and US listings.
Eric has established relationships with various VC’s, institutional buyers, fund managers, market makers, investment bankers and high net worth investors. Eric specializes in the life sciences / biotechnology industry and has launched the firm’s global biotechnology newsletters for the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Australia for distribution to the international financial community. Eric has researched and travelled globally searching for M&A opportunities for Achelous Partners’s international client base.
Previously, Eric was a Business Development Analyst at Quintiles Transnational, where he conducted research on potential blockbuster late Phase III/registered drugs as targets for new business opportunities, analyzed competitor companies as targets for possible acquisitions, and launched the company’s first weekly internal newsletter (Drug Digest) consisting of latest drug news, new drug approvals, and pipeline information. Eric holds a joint Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Bioengineering with a minor in Applied Economics from Cornell University.

Eric Antman has over seven years of healthcare investment banking experience focusing on M&A and public and private capital raising for life science companies. Eric is focused on mergers and acquisitions, technical and financial analysis, valuation methodologies as well as complex financial modeling for life science companies.
His experience has provided him with deep industry knowledge of the life sciences sector and providing critical information during an M&A process. Eric graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Cornell University in Business Management and Marketing.

Akshay Nadkarni Associate, New York akshay.nadkarni@achelous.com
Akshay Nadkarni is involved in multiple activities across the firm ranging from in-depth technology analysis to assisting in M&A and the corporate valuation process.
He is focused on grasping the key value drivers of international life science companies in order to identify creative strategic opportunities for various international clients. As part of the M&A team, Akshay has undertaken extensive research and has assisted in cross-border transactions involving companies in several emerging biotech fields, including molecular imaging, biogenerics, and advanced immunotherapy. In addition, he has written several industry profiles and company reports involving emerging companies in various sectors of biotechnology. Akshay holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Finance from New York University.

Marius Sava Senior Analyst, New York marius.sava@achelous.com
Marius Sava is a Senior Analyst supporting all of the firm’s investment banking activities. He works closely with the team on the analysis and execution of mergers and acquisitions transactions, with particular focus in the life sciences and other emerging technology sectors.
He is focused on detailed financial modeling, industry research, and has been involved in numerous high-level M&A presentations. His educational background includes corporate finance training in Europe. Marius holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from New York University.
